I am a July 2011 graduate of the University of Phoenix School of Science and achieved a Master of Science is Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family, and Child Therapy. In addition, I studied at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and became a Certified Applied Behavior Analyst in September 2013.
Initially, I was a youth counselor including working with children involved in gangs, those who acted out sexually and were adjudicated in youth group homes.
I completed practicum at FACES Counseling Center in Placentia, California. After graduation, I worked there as a Clinical Therapist Trainee learning Family, Individual, Couples and Child Therapy. I have worked as a Behavioral Clinician and Outpatient Therapist, working with adjudicated adult women and at a MAT clinic where I performed drug and alcohol counseling. I have led SUD groups, didactic groups, anger management, coparenting and parenting groups. I have worked with adjudicated you, adult mental health, child abuse, and autism spectrum disorders.
My specialty is cognitive and behavioral therapies. I use a cognitive approach for Person Centered, Structural and Strategic Family Therapy, Brief Solution Focus and Motivational Interviewing.
Ann sees patients in person on Wednesdays at Huron Point Wellness and provides online telehealth services.
